flooding in bradford on avon

Well that was all rather traumatic! Serena and I went down to the Flood Forum on Monday at the Holy Trinity Church and promptly got interviewed by Points West!

Luckily a large part of my waffling was cut out but they did also cut our praise for the wonderful Flood Wardens we have here in Bradford. It was on the BBC website, but chopped from the news piece, so we will say it again… we think they’re heros. We would also like to thank BBC Points West and in particular Will Glennon for the generous coverage of the flooding situation in Bradford on Avon.

It will be interesting to see what, if anything, comes from this very well attended event. Hopefully it was more than a PR stunt and some meaningful plans will be put in place to help those in the community that suffer the wrath of the River Avon. Flooding is certainly a problem that is becoming more frequent and more severe, so over to you at the Environment Agency, Wessex Water and Local Council.
