Saturday saw the first Trowbridge Weavers Market which is to run on the second Saturday of every month and occupies the centre of Trowbridge. Bringing together makers from all spheres and incorporating music and street food. We opted for a suitcase pitch at the first event and took along our book ‘A Serene View of Bradford on Avon‘ and a collection of cards from the book. We have also booked for the August and September dates and hope to see everyone come along to this excellent event.
Sunday, and it was off to Somerset for a return to the annual Frome Art Car Boot Sale organised by Black Swan Arts and held in the car park outside the Cheese and Grain. This event does exactly what the name suggests… offering visitors an opportunity to obtain art, direct from the artists, at a reasonable price. The weather was fantastic and day was a great success.
A busy but rewarding weekend and its back to the gallery today after a much needed day off!
We thought it was about time to get back in the saddle again and start posting on our much under-utilised blog! So here goes…
We were excited to see that Trowbridge has decided to go toe to toe with Frome and is launching its own monthly independent market, which will be held on the 2nd Saturday of the month.
SerenArts have secured a ‘suitcase pitch’ for the first three events and will be taking along Serena’s book ‘A Serene View of Bradford on Avon‘ together with a range of our cards. We hope to see you all there for what promises to be a great day.
Things generally have been a little quiet at the Workshops for the first half of 2019… probably something to do with the rather wet start to the year, but with the recent upturn in temperatures the summer season is beginning to kick in and the visitors are now coming down.
We already have a great selection of goodies in the gallery and new stocks will be arriving over the coming weeks. We will keep you up to date as and when new things arrive… promise!
If you would like more information on what Serena has on her easel, why not follow her blog shreenie.com
We are very happy to see that word is spreading about Serena’s book ‘A Serene View of Bradford on Avon’. I-M magazine has published a lovely review in their online and print versions of their publication…
Copies of the book are available to order from our website, via Amazon, or from our gallery at the Tithebarn Workshops. Just a reminder that we are offering a free 2019 calendar with all copies of the book purchased from our gallery until the new year.
Wonderful prose and illustrations. For those who live in or near BOA this publication is a must have. Humour and pathos are part of this authors creative talents. Well worth the price for its design and compilation alone. Ideal present for anyone who lives in BOA.
