We have actually started one of our New Years projects a little early and have begun to add all our printing and design services to the main SerenArts Gallery website / blog…

So whether it is a book printing job or simply a photocopy you are looking for, you will be able to find it all in one place.

Please come back again soon to see what has been added.

Cloth Road Arts Week 2022

Here’s a date to pop in your diary… 30th April – 8th May 2022.

SerenArts Gallery are very pleased to announce that we will be taking part in next years Cloth Road Arts Week. It’s a good few years since we last took part so we have joined forces with the other units at the Tithebarn Workshops to create a proper destination for art lovers.

We will bring you more information once we have plans in place!

Dog Sitting!

This is Bailey!

The idea was that our son and his fiancé went away on their holidays for a week while we baby sit our furry grandchild!! We thought (rather naively) that we would have Bailey in the gallery with us during the day… what could go wrong?… he’s adorable! He’ll be a great selling gimmick, we thought!

Well, that plan lasted all of an hour before there had to be a rapid change of plan and Serena would paint at home with her ‘little helper’! Cute as he is, at 8 months old he was just a tad too boisterous for our little gallery space. Much happier at home…

Things will be back to normal next week as Bailey heads back home. We will certainly miss the wee man!

OK… I’m going to own up… I took the mickey out of Serena for offering free keyrings promoting the gallery to gain followers on her Instagram account. I said she was buying friends! Now I feel guilty and want to help, so thought I would promote her wonderful work on our blog as well!

So, if you wouldn’t mind following serenapughartist on instagram it will hopefully get me off the hook!

Thank you very much.

Busy Morning at SerenArts Gallery

On my morning walk today I saw a mother swan and her six signets grazing on the grass behind the Tithebarn Workshops, so I quickly phoned Serena to go and have a look. The next thing I know I get a rather panicked phone call from her saying they were following her back into the garden of the Workshops! I think word might have got around in the bird world that Serena feeds them every morning!

We now have the family all fed and watered and fast asleep outside the gallery! So please try and keep the noise down if you’re coming the Tithebarn Workshops today!! We don’t want to wake the kids!

Serena’s latest works…

Serena has been very busy recently and these are just a selection of her latest works, which include a commission of Aber Falls or Rhaeadr Fawr, in Wales. To keep up to date with what’s on the easel, why not follow Serena on Instagram. You can also visit her website to see a full range of work.

Wait a Minnow

serenarts gallery kingfisher trail

We mentioned a few weeks back that he was on his way… well he’s landed… ‘Wait a Minnow‘ is on his plinth in Westbury Gardens, outside the Tourist Information Centre, to promote two Cotswold walking trails, which Bradford on Avon are now part of. The trails will be available online and via a smartphone App.

There will be some more smaller kingfishers coming to the Shambles this week as well, so hopefully it will all bring a little cheer and some visitors to the Town.

As a little nod to these events Serena has painted a small 6″ square acrylic on canvas: ‘Watching’…

Canal Art

At SerenArts Gallery we’re always looking for new ways to add items to our range of products and services… and canal art is just the latest string to Serena’s bow…

However, always expect the unexpected, as she hasn’t gone for the traditional canal art colour palette with these pitchers. The subtle pastel tones of these beautiful designs, hand painted by Serena, will compliment many a house interior. They are priced at just £18 for the smaller pitcher (approx 17cm high) and £25 for the larger one(approx 22cm high).

We have plans to increase the range of products that Serena will be adding to the canal art collection, so watch this space!

Lockdown Window Exhibition

We are pleased to be involved in the new Tithebarn Workshops initiative… the Lockdown Window Exhibition:

The idea is to add a bit of culture to your daily walk by having a regularly changed window display of Serena’s paintings in the windows. All the artists at the Tithebarn Workshops are taking part, so you should be able to take a small, artistic detour around the windows of the Workshops…

Further details about this ongoing event have been posted on Explore BOA and it is also being covered by the Wiltshire Times and Radio Wiltshire.
