Google Business Photos

This is rather exciting… on Monday, Google are coming down to the gallery to take photos of the inside of the workshop and put us on Google Business Photos.  So you’ll soon be able to have a virtual walk round the gallery and the gardens.  It’s a good job they didn’t come round last week otherwise it would have meant a whole new idea for Google… underwater photo tours!

We’re getting the point!

We’ll keep you informed of when we’re due to go live in due course.

A New Beginning

Here we are… 2014… a New Year and a New Beginning…

We would like to thank again the people who helped us get back up and running so quickly after the problems.  We wouldn’t have been able to do it without you.

Over the coming weeks we will be getting a whole new lot of stock in and Serena is also hard at work creating some new additions to the glass art, photographs and paintings.  So please keep coming back for updates and we’ll keep you informed of the changes.

Someone’s Enjoying It!

At least Ted seemed to be enjoying the rising waters yesterday!
Over night the river has continued to rise but as of 7.30 this morning it appears to have peaked. Just in time for today’s rain!
The garden has started to flood however so we’re not out the woods just yet.
We will let everyone know about re-opening as soon as we know more.
Fingers crossed!

SerenArts Gallery Flood Video

We took this short video just before we had to leave the gallery to the rising waters.  It came up another foot after this was taken.  Hard to believe we’re now open and trading again…

Back in Business!

Well… that was an interesting Festive Period!  We will be putting up some more photos and news soon, but thought we would just share these with you for now.

We all wanted to say that we are now open again, although it maybe short lived the way the river is coming up again!  Everyone down here would also like to thank the many people – customers, friends and family – who have offered help over this very difficult period.  A very Happy New Year to you all and hopefully a drier one!

Christmas Floods at SerenArts Gallery, Tithebarn Workshops, Bradford on Avon

We haven’t seen anything like this for many years.  There are a lot of questions being asked about how this could happen so quickly and with so little warning???  Hopefully, in the fullness of time, we will get some answers… Bath Council.

Now you see it… now you don’t!

We just thought we would share a couple of printing projects we have been given this week.

Two different clients brought in photographs taken some time ago and wanted canvases made from them.  Both jobs required quite a bit of work to remove elements of the photographs that the customer didn’t want to show.  We’ll let you make your own minds up as to why some of them were removed!…

Your Image on Canvas

Just a quick reminder to let you know that we offer a very high standard of image reproduction on canvas.

These two images taken at the wedding of one of our clients last year, were from hard copy 6″ x 4″ colour photographs which had been stuffed in a draw and become wrinkled!  We scanned, cropped and repaired the damage and then put them on to 12″ x 14″ canvases and the results were amazing (according to our very happy customer!)…

First World War 14-18 NOW Project

A four-year art project to honour the little-known role of artists in the First World War as part of a new £10million project.  Artists are to be honoured for their little-known role in the First World War as part of a new £10million project, which will tell the true story of the painters who camouflaged British warships.  The scheme, entitled 14-18 NOW, will see works of art, theatre and poetry commissioned across the country to “look afresh” at the events of the First World War and the impact still resonating today.

This story in the Guardian today links very well to a job we did for a client recently, who’s relative had created some touching and emotive watercolours while serving in the First World War.  We were asked to produce Fine Art Prints of the images for them to share with their family.  We would like to share these remarkable images with you…
