Barton Farm Country Park Booklet

With the increase in the number of visitors to Bradford on Avon and the Barton Farm Country Park, we thought we would put together a very simple little booklet giving information about this beautiful area. This A6 landscape booklet will be available from this Thursday at SerenArts Gallery

There will be a brief history of the Barton Farm area, a bit on the wildlife in the Country Park, a few of the many walks available and just some general information.

We hope to see you down at the Tithebarn Workshops soon.

Spot Your House!

Let’s have a quick game of spot your house!…

I came across this aerial photo of the Barton Farm and surrounding area when I was going through some old files the other day. It was used in a project we worked on for the Preservation Trust, for their book on the history of Barton Farm. Very interesting to see places you know from above and it does show what a beautiful area we have the pleasure to work in

Come and visit us down here soon.

First Brood

No, it’s not a misspelling of the Rambo film title, it is a brood of new little ducklings I spotted on the canal this morning… although I am reliably informed that they are called a paddling if they’re on the water… either way, they’re very cute!

The sun is back out and the bank holiday weekend is fast approaching. Come on down to the Tithebarn Workshops and enjoy some much needed retail therapy and a stroll around the beautiful Barton Farm Country Park.

Impromptu Live Music

Who’s up for a little bit of socially distanced music at the Tithebarn Workshops?! Eager to find somewhere to practice, the offer of our garden was enough to persuade Tim and a couple of his muso mates to bring their instruments down and treat us all to a bit of much needed music.

If you’re in the Barton Farm area tomorrow, why not pop along for a bit of retail therapy, a cuppa at the cafe and sit in the sun listening to the musical melodies!

Good news…

Sometimes, when I’m trying to think of something to blog about, I will go to the local news and information websites to see what’s happening in Bradford that I may have missed. During our enforced closure this has been more often than normal as not a lot is currently happening at the Tithebarn Workshops!

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of uplifting news on the Bradford Town Council website. If you’re feeling a bit down just have a read of the positive goodies that are being planned for our town… it cheered me up!

Only 27 more sleeps before SerenArts Gallery is fully open again for business.

Lockdown Window Exhibition

We are pleased to be involved in the new Tithebarn Workshops initiative… the Lockdown Window Exhibition:

The idea is to add a bit of culture to your daily walk by having a regularly changed window display of Serena’s paintings in the windows. All the artists at the Tithebarn Workshops are taking part, so you should be able to take a small, artistic detour around the windows of the Workshops…

Further details about this ongoing event have been posted on Explore BOA and it is also being covered by the Wiltshire Times and Radio Wiltshire.

Enjoy Bradford on Avon

The sun is out… the sky is blue… why not enjoy a bit of social distancing fun in Bradford on Avon today?

The market in Lamb’s Yard is setting up ready for a busy days trading…

After browsing the stalls in town why not head along the River Avon to Barton Farm Country Park where the live music will be starting up this afternoon by the river.

You can then wander through to the Tithebarn Workshops and enjoy a relaxing cream tea in our beautiful garden and a spot of retail therapy in the safe shopping spaces that we have down here.

Whatever you do… enjoy our wonderful town.

Meet and Greet

Too doing her meet and greet at the Tithebarn Workshops

No… Mary at Stone Paper Scissors hasn’t started doing a new range of draft excluders… this is Roo doing her meet and greet for customers at the Tithebarn Workshops.

With the weather improving again and the bank holiday coming up this Monday, things are picking up down here, so why not pop down for a cream tea in our beautiful gardens and a spot of retail therapy?

A BIG Thank You

Everyone at the Tithebarn Workshops would like to just say a big thank you to everyone who came down last night to enjoy our Artisan Extravaganza…

(Apologies for the quality of the images!)

We had a great evening with music, mulled wine, nibbles and a bit of early Christmas shopping.  With the fire blazing and marshmallows toasting it was truly a lovely atmosphere and there are already plans for another event soon.

Artisan Extravaganza Date Change

We have regrettably had to change the date of our Artisan Extravaganza due to adverse weather conditions… it will now be held on Friday 16th November 2108…

We would like to apologise to everyone who was planning to come down to the Workshops but felt that it would be better for all to rearrange the event to what will hopefully be a slightly less damp evening!

We hope to see you all on the new date.
