There’s something wonderfully soothing about a little retail therapy — especially when it comes with a side of blooming beauty!
A stroll through the Tithebarn Workshops is more than just a shopping trip; it’s a feast for the senses. With summer just around the corner the garden is bursting into colour with vibrant blossoms, making your visit a breath of fresh air. Whether you’re browsing handmade crafts, picking up unique gifts, or simply treating yourself, the charm of each workshop is elevated by the floral backdrop just outside.
Take a moment between shops to pause in the garden, perhaps stop for a coffee, listen to the bees, and soak in the colours. It’s a reminder that retail therapy isn’t just about what you buy — it’s about how you feel. And here at the Workshops, surrounded by flowers and creativity, it’s easy to feel inspired, relaxed, and refreshed.
We hope to see you down here soon.
OK… so its not the catchiest name but we have every confidence in the Tithebarn Workshops little blue duck in this years Town Duck Race:

We’ve had an intense few months build up and a diet of SerenArts Duck and Swan Food (shamless product placement!!) to get us to this exciting day, so good luck to all taking part and COME ON YOU #5.

We’re just about ready at the Tithebarn Workshops for our 2025 Spring Fling. Our brand new Garden Bar is set up and waiting for its first customers when we open tomorrow.

We have lined up live music, tasty tacos, loads of arty goodies, pottery, glass and much more, with stalls in the garden and open studios.
The weather forecast is possible showers, but that won’t dampen our spirits and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone for a special day.
Preparations are continuing for the Tithebarn Workshops Spring Fling on Saturday 19th April. As well at the 9 stalls that will be selling their arts and creations from the garden, we now also have Tacos and Dreams providing their delicious food, a selection of live music and we have created the all new ‘Garden Bar’…

Thanks to a combination of hard work from the TBW gang, the painting skills of Serena and fabulous wordworking from Tim of TH Furniture, we now have our very own pop up bar ready for events. We have event licences in place for both the Spring Fling and the weekend of the Green Man Festival and we’re all very excited to welcome our first customers! Guest bar tending slots will be filled by all the crew down here, so watch out for your favourite bar staff!!

We hope to see everyone down at the Workshops next weekend!
Back by popular demand… Santa returns to the Tithebarn Workshops this Sunday…

Come on down and enjoy some more festive fun with us and say hello to Santa.
There will also be an opportunity to experience a drop-in cast glass workshop in Jade’s studio (Jane Pinnell Cast Glass, Unit 5).

Merry Christmas!
Our Workshops freshening up project progressed another step this week, as the entrance sign was replaced and updated by Felix…

With the individually painted studios and lovely new signage, it’s a lot more welcoming for visitors. More improvements and updates will follow in the months to come and we will keep you informed.
We wanted to also take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to the lovely locals of Bradford on Avon for their amazing support (both emotional and financial) during and after the floods last week. You’re amazing and we truly appreciate your continued custom.
You will probably have seen quite a few posts and news items following this weeks awful flooding in Bradford on Avon. Well… here’s another one!
Our beautiful little corner of the Town always gets it quite badly, but this one was quite excepitional. We were at the Tithebarn Workshops in 2013, when the measuring station hit 3.42m and we were badly flooded. This time, although it was only 9cm more at 3.51m, did it ever make a difference. Unit 8 here and two neighbouring houses all flooded for the first time, with the water reaching areas that we’d never seen before. Having moved all our stock and goodies up to our usual flood level, we had to then wade back in and move everything up further still.

We have become quite good at second guessing the river levels over the years, but this one took us all by surprise. We set our alarm for 3.30am and it wasn’t looking good, so down we came.
Already at the Workshops and helping out was the truly amazing Danny, one of the town flood wardens and all round superhero! We can’t thank him and his team of volunteers enough for their continued help, advice and input before, during and after this rubbish time.
Having spent a day and half cleaning, spraying and disinfecting we are fully open again and busy with Christmas card printing, commission painting and stocking the shelves ready for Christmas shoppers and our late night Friday.
Tomorrow should have been the Christmas light switch on in town which we were going to be part of, but it had to be cancelled due to the flooding. However, we at the Tithebarn Workshops are going ahead with our day / evening of celebrations, despite everything! We have pop up shops in each studio, a food truck and bar, live music and lots of free mulled wine and cider and mince pies!
Please pop down and join us if you can… we’re all up for a fun day… but don’t try and get over Barton Bridge!

It’s that time of year again when the garden at the Tithebarn Workshops looks spectacular, with the stunning array of colours…

As the season sets in, the trees surrounding our studios transform into a vibrant palette of reds, oranges and yellows, painting the garden with the warm hues of Autumn. It is an ideal time to come down for a peaceful stroll or a cozy afternoon of browsing the local arts we have on offer.
