Christmas Shopping at SerenArts Gallery
We are now fully geared up for the build up to Christmas… with the lights up, the decorations adorning the windows and the stock levels full to bursting!
Don’t forget the late night shopping this coming Wednesday 19th November, where you’ll be able to enjoy browsing all the shops here at the Tithebarn Worshops, nibble on a mince pie or two and listen to the live music we have courtesy of Vicki Burke from Frome.

Anthony Pates Restoration Work
We have been given another project by artist Anthony Pates. He has restored 3 old works showing local scenes and wanted them making into postcards…
Anthony was recently named Oldie British Artist (OBA) 2014, with a painting described by judges as ‘in the great English landscape tradition’. The award, launched three years ago by The Oldie magazine, is only open to the over-60s. Mr Pates was declared this year’s winner of the £3,000 prize at a ceremony held at London’s Petyt Hall after his work, together with that of nine other finalists, had been displayed at the prestigious Abbott and Holder Gallery.

New Signage
I know we’ve been badgering the local council to come up with some new signage to promote the Gallery and the Tithebarn Workshops, but we were very surprised to see the idea they had come up with!…
We understand this is only a temporary measure, so we look forward to seeing what long term solution they might come with!

With a little work in Photoshop, we have produced a print for her which shows the Tithebarn Workshops area as it used to be. Just a shame we don’t still have the rather grand looking garage to park our cars in any more!…

‘Green with Envy’ (top image) ~ Serena took this photograph in Stra, Italy just next to the river which runs towards Venice, just a few miles away.
‘On the Vine’ (bottom image) ~ This image was taken just outside Monségur in the Gironde, France. Mile after mile of stunning rolling hills covered in vines.
