En plein air

serenarts gallery painting en plein air

Let’s just hope that this fabulous weather continues for a bit longer. Serena was able to sit outside yesterday to work on her latest painting, which will be available to view and purchase in the near future.

The more eagle eyed amongst you might be able to spot her much beloved Southampton FC mug… we can only hope that we have a little more success than poor old Saints this year!

Spring?

Say it very quietly… but has Spring just sprung?

The river level is dropping pleasantly quickly after a bit of a scare last week, the temperature has nudged above the low single digits and the flowers are just starting to bloom in our beautiful gardens here at the Tithebarn Workshops.

Coming Soon…

We have just come back from a very successful trip to the Spring Fair at the NEC and can’t wait to show you all the goodies we have coming to the shop at SerenArts.

We’ve made space available and are just waiting for the first of the deliveries to come in shortly. As soon as we have more information we’ll post again.

Watch this space!…

A History of the Tithe Barn

a history of the tithe barn in bradford on avon

With Easter fast approaching and the start of our busiest time, SerenArts Gallery have produced a free trifold leaflet giving visitors a brief history of the Tithe Barn and surrounding buildings in the Barton Farm Country Park.

We are regularly asked for information about the area and thought this would be a good way to enlighten customers and promote our beautiful locale. Perhaps the next brochure should have the location of public toilets as this is another regularly asked question!

Paua Shell Jewellery

Another addition to the SerenArts Gallery Paua Shell jewellery range…

These delightful pieces have just arrived and are available at £7.95 for the earrings and £9.95 for the necklace.

Why not come down to the Tithebarn Workshops before our Christmas break and pick up this ideal gift.

Merry Christmas

Apologies for the lack of posting recently but things have been a little busy in the gallery.

We just wanted to wish all our customers and friends a very happy Christmas and hope everyone has a great time over the festive period.

We will pick up again in the new year and hopefully have another great year in 2019…

If you would like more information you can contact the organisers via the website, plus anyone interested in sponsoring the event should contact Jim Lynch for further details.

2019 Calendar now available

This years calendar from SerenArts Gallery is now available from our unit at the Tithebarn Workshops and features images taken from Serena’s book ‘A Serene View of Bradford on Avon‘…

If you’re not able to make it down to our gallery you can also purchase the calendar from our website.

A Serene View of Bradford on Avon

a serene view of bradford on avon by serena pugh

We’re very excited here at SerenArts Gallery as Serena’s book has been proof read and sent to the printers for a first look at a hard copy proof next week.  Everything is on track for the launch at the West Barn on the night of Friday 20th April 2018.  If you would like to come along and join us for a glass of wine and enjoy this event, please just let us know.  We will be at the same venue on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd April for a chance to see the exhibition of canvases and cards taken from the book and, of course, a chance to purchase you copy of the book.

You can now contact us to pre-order this beautiful book and be put on the list for your copy.  The book contains a collection of photographic artworks of Bradford on Avon together with poems, prose and observations by Serena.

“Bradford on Avon is more than just a home or business for me. I have been the very worst, and best version of myself here. I have met with the most uplifting of highs in life here, and suffered through the hardest tragedies here too. I feel an affinity and deep affection for this town, like no other I have lived in. That doesn’t stop me poking loving fun at it though. This may not be as traditional as most but no-one can fault my dedication to this sprawling jewel. Please enjoy my personal view”.
