Wait a Minnow

We mentioned a few weeks back that he was on his way… well he’s landed… ‘Wait a Minnow‘ is on his plinth in Westbury Gardens, outside the Tourist Information Centre, to promote two Cotswold walking trails, which Bradford on Avon are now part of. The trails will be available online and via a smartphone App.

There will be some more smaller kingfishers coming to the Shambles this week as well, so hopefully it will all bring a little cheer and some visitors to the Town.

As a little nod to these events Serena has painted a small 6″ square acrylic on canvas: ‘Watching’…

Magnetic Brooch / Scarf Pins

We are pleased to tell you that SerenArts Gallery has just taken delivery of some cracking new designs to add to our magnetic brooch collection…

These magnetic brooches are fantastic for easily moving between coats, jackets, scarves, bags and hats. No pin damage and a really strong magnet too.

We have also brought in some additions to our jewellery sets which can be seen at our gallery in the Tithebarn Workshops…

Most of the SerenArts housemates are restless!

Well… that’s the first week nearly completed. We shut the door to SerenArts Gallery this time last week with a heavy heart and wondering when we would be able to re-opening again?

It certainly is a very strange time for everyone and we just hope our fellow business owners in Bradford on Avon are safe and coping ok.

In the great scheme of things we count ourselves very lucky… we went for our daily walk allowance this morning out along the river in the glorious sunshine…

Yes, it was windy and yes, our business is shut… but what a place to live!

Anyway… stay safe everyone and let’s buckle up for week 2!

Well… here we are in 2020 and this is the first time I’ve had time to sit down and post this year after our full gallery refurbishment.

You may have seen a post from Serena recently telling you all about her new work desk!… well I’ve got one too!…

We have an all new layout with clearly defined areas for Serena’s art, the jewellery and my printing department…

We’re looking forward to the new year in our new space and hope to welcome you all in the near future.

We would like to say a big thank you to our lovely customers that turned up for yesterday evenings late night shopping event at the Tithebarn Workshops…

The fire was lit, the mulled wine flowed and the mince pies and nibbles all laid out ready… a great time was had by all at our Midweek Merriment!

Tonight, at the Tithebarn Workshops, we will be open until 8pm… offering mulled wine, mince pies and music while you browse for those ideal Christmas gifts…

Red Nose Day!

It’s that time of year again when the trees are loaded with cherries and the wildlife fill their boots!

Even though we lost one of our beautiful cherry trees in the storms this year there is still plenty to plunder on the one outside our gallery. The birds do look like they’re auditioning for the next Comic Relief Red Nose Day though!

If you’re in town for the annual Holy Trinity Church Bradford on Avon Street Market, why not pop along to the Tithebarn Workshops for a cup of tea in our beautiful gardens and enjoy a bit of retail therapy in the shops?

Trowbridge Weavers Market

We thought it was about time to get back in the saddle again and start posting on our much under-utilised blog! So here goes…

We were excited to see that Trowbridge has decided to go toe to toe with Frome and is launching its own monthly independent market, which will be held on the 2nd Saturday of the month.

SerenArts have secured a ‘suitcase pitch’ for the first three events and will be taking along Serena’s book ‘A Serene View of Bradford on Avon‘ together with a range of our cards. We hope to see you all there for what promises to be a great day.

Things generally have been a little quiet at the Workshops for the first half of 2019… probably something to do with the rather wet start to the year, but with the recent upturn in temperatures the summer season is beginning to kick in and the visitors are now coming down.

We already have a great selection of goodies in the gallery and new stocks will be arriving over the coming weeks. We will keep you up to date as and when new things arrive… promise!
