We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all those who came along to the opening night of Serena’s 2014 Exhibition last night.

It was a great success and will now run for the next 3 days, until Sunday afternoon at 5pm. (10am – 5pm daily).

There was a great reaction to Serena’s new body of work, which includes Glass Art and Photographic Art and lots of nice chat and wine!  (Plenty left if would like to pop by!).

It was lovely to see the amount of support for local art in Bradford on Avon.

There was a very interesting article in ARTnews, the online Art Magazine today.  It was entitled ‘Cat Art vs. Dog Art: A Showdown at the Blanton Museum‘.  From our point of view, it is dog owners who prefer to have their pet recorded as a portrait.  We have only had two clients that has commissioned Serena to produce their pet cats in portrait form, which is surprising considering that our feline friends have stunning form…

New Pet Portrait

Here is Serena’s latest pet portrait for you to enjoy….

This lovely chap was a real character.  As a puppy he was knocked down and badly injured by a car and as a result has a rather crooked mouth and a wonky jaw!  The owners wanted him painted in all his glory, which was really nice.

Rejuvenated

A customer of Alans (Stained Glass Studio) brought this stained glass window hanging in the other day and asked him if he could restore the colours.  It wasn’t worth much but she had had it for over 20 years and it did have a lot of sentimental value.  He couldn’t do anything, but he knew someone who could!… Serena.  After a couple of hours of working her magic the glass was back to its colourful best and we had one happy client….
