Just to let you know that tonight is the first of our Wednesday late night shopping evenings at the Tithebarn Workshops.
We will be open until 7pm each Wednesday up to Christmas for a chance to get that special gift. If you would like any more information please contact us at any time.
SerenArts Gallery, Stone Paper Scissors and Jacqueline Byrne will be taking part in this years Christmas Gift Fair at St Margaret’s Hall on Friday 29th November 2019, as part of the Bradford on Avon Christmas light switch on.
Throughout the day and into the evening the Fair will be offering a range of quality gifts for that perfect Christmas pressie. Collectively, we have taken a 20 foot long table and will be bringing a collection of unique products, paintings and cards… Come and see us between 10am and 8pm.
This amazing team of volunteers are out in all weathers cleaning up our town, not just improving the overall look of Bradford but also vital work in reducing the risk of localised flooding.
SerenArts Gallery have now got in most of our Christmas stock of jewellery and clothing… including stunning new collections of scarves, wraps and gloves. Our latest jewellery range is also on the shelves and ready for you!
It’s never too early to start buying that special gift for loved ones… and maybe treat yourself while you’re here!
Our apologies again for not posting for some time, but after a busy summer season we will endeavour to keep you up to date with the goings on at SerenArts Gallery.
In the meantime we would like to bring your attention to an opportunity to have an excellent days painting with Steve Hall in Bradford on Avon…
We will be back soon with more updates but we can certainly recommend booking a spot on one of Steve’s courses.
No… Mary at Stone Paper Scissors hasn’t started doing a new range of draft excluders… this is Roo doing her meet and greet for customers at the Tithebarn Workshops.
With the weather improving again and the bank holiday coming up this Monday, things are picking up down here, so why not pop down for a cream tea in our beautiful gardens and a spot of retail therapy?
I was just dropping off some more Tithebarn Workshop leaflets at the Bradford on Avon Tourist Information Centre this morning when I came across this event organised by local pet shop and cafe ‘Doghouse‘. It brings a whole new meaning to ‘the doggy paddle’! I have to say that the dogs seemed to have much better balance than some of the owners!
Always great to see events that bring people to the town and a big congratulations to the Doghouse for this innovative idea.
We were very sad to hear of the passing of local artist Anthony Pates recently. We have had the pleasure of doing some printing work for Anthony over the years, reproducing some of his incredible artwork as prints, cards and postcards. He was an absolute gentleman and created the most exquisite, timeless work.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
Here are a few examples of Anthony’s extraordinary work…
Saturday saw the first Trowbridge Weavers Market which is to run on the second Saturday of every month and occupies the centre of Trowbridge. Bringing together makers from all spheres and incorporating music and street food. We opted for a suitcase pitch at the first event and took along our book ‘A Serene View of Bradford on Avon‘ and a collection of cards from the book. We have also booked for the August and September dates and hope to see everyone come along to this excellent event.
Sunday, and it was off to Somerset for a return to the annual Frome Art Car Boot Sale organised by Black Swan Arts and held in the car park outside the Cheese and Grain. This event does exactly what the name suggests… offering visitors an opportunity to obtain art, direct from the artists, at a reasonable price. The weather was fantastic and day was a great success.
A busy but rewarding weekend and its back to the gallery today after a much needed day off!
