Most of the SerenArts housemates are restless!

Well… that’s the first week nearly completed. We shut the door to SerenArts Gallery this time last week with a heavy heart and wondering when we would be able to re-opening again?

It certainly is a very strange time for everyone and we just hope our fellow business owners in Bradford on Avon are safe and coping ok.

In the great scheme of things we count ourselves very lucky… we went for our daily walk allowance this morning out along the river in the glorious sunshine…

Yes, it was windy and yes, our business is shut… but what a place to live!

Anyway… stay safe everyone and let’s buckle up for week 2!

Coronavirus Update

In light of the current situation with Coronavirus we have taken the decision to close SerenArts Gallery to the public until further notice.

This difficult decision was made to minimise the health risks involved to our customers and family.

We do appreciate that certain services we offer (primarily: photocopying and printing) could be of use to people during this time and would like to continue to make these available to the more vulnerable members of our community. With that in mind, if you know of anyone in this category who may need important documents copying, or printing work done, please feel free to contact us at any time. We live locally and would be happy to deliver to them.

If you’re wanting to pop down to SerenArts Gallery today, we would suggest coming down Pound Lane rather than using Barton Bridge or the River Walk… we are here and open though!

A Close Shave

Just to let all our customers know that we are open at the Tithebarn Workshops after the very near floods. It was a very close thing for us… everything got moved up but despite the water kissing the back wall, it didn’t come in.

Our thoughts are with all those less fortunate businesses and homes that didn’t have our luck and a shout out to the amazing emergency services and flood wardens working long into the night over the weekend to help all those affected… Lets hopes that’s it for this year.

We found the website riverlevels.uk a great help with monitoring things and would recommend it to those in problem areas… our panic level turns out to be 2.75m, which is where it peaked and just missed us.

Woodland Trust Printer Paper

At SerenArts Gallery we are always looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint and be more mindful of the impact our business has on the environment. To that end, we are moving over to more ethically sourced printer paper to use in our photocopying and printing services.

Every sheet of Woodland Trust Office Paper sold contributes directly to their work as the UK’s leading conservation charity. The amount of CO2 generated from the production, storage and distribution of this paper has been calculated and captured by planting trees with the Trust’s Woodland Carbon Scheme.

We have also invested in the latest printer / copier which is made with more than 90% recyclable parts and uses the latest polymerised toners which generate 40% less CO2 than traditional toners.
