Serena has just finished the second of her latest mixed media artworks…
This little chap is another miniature canvas on its own wooden easel and has been painted using acrylics, with the wing being crafted from clay and then overpainted.
Serena is always looking for new ideas and different ways to showcase her artwork and this is no exception.
We have just come back from a very successful trip to the Spring Fair at the NEC and can’t wait to show you all the goodies we have coming to the shop at SerenArts.
We’ve made space available and are just waiting for the first of the deliveries to come in shortly. As soon as we have more information we’ll post again.

Well… we’re here! A winter wonderland down at the Tithebarn Workshops.
Our heaters are on and the coffee is brewed… all we need now are some hardy customers to come on down.
With an auntie in Toronto and a cousin in Chicago braving the polar vortex, we felt we just had to make the effort and beat the Beast from Bradford!

New Year… new art form… Serena is working on a series of 3D mixed media artworks and here is the first one, hot off the press.
He’s a dinky little fellow, and comes with the stand.
Serena aims to progress in size as she learns the weights canvases can support – clay sculpting can be heavy, so these things have to be worked out properly. Who knew art could be so technical?!

With Easter fast approaching and the start of our busiest time, SerenArts Gallery have produced a free trifold leaflet giving visitors a brief history of the Tithe Barn and surrounding buildings in the Barton Farm Country Park.
We are regularly asked for information about the area and thought this would be a good way to enlighten customers and promote our beautiful locale. Perhaps the next brochure should have the location of public toilets as this is another regularly asked question!
We were just Googling local Bradford on Avon news, looking for a suitable subject to blog about and came across this recently introduced logo promoting the town and featuring on the new Tourist Information website.
We would like to say what a great job the Town Council have done on this updated image and site and lets hope it brings in more visitors to our town.
As always, there were a number of negative comments following the Wiltshire Times reporting of this revamp but the Tithebarn Workshops are fully behind it… ignore the naysayers!
We were recently sent the photo on the left (above) and asked to restore, enhance and put it on to canvas for a client. As you can see from the ‘after’ image we were able to pull back the colour and repair many of the blemishes on the image. It has now been stretched on to box wood frame and is ready for collection. The original was an old poster which had seen better days and we now have a vibrant, fresh canvas print.

Well… we’re back at the gallery and Serena is busy painting some new glass art lamps to replace all those sold over the festive period…
