CluB is a volunteer group which tidies up Bradford on Avon. They meet weekly on Monday mornings at various locations around the town, posting the details on their Facebook page in advance.
Good luck to everyone down in Westbury Gardens today for BOA Unlocked. We hope the weather stays kind for you. We know how long you’ve been trying to get this event on. Fingers crossed and have fun.
On another note… it appears that the second attempt at Boot Sale in Victory Field has been cancelled due to the weather??? Come on Organisers… this is England!!
Well, that was a disappointing start to the day. We got up extra early and came down to the gallery expecting a full on bun fight for parking spaces and…
The car boot sale planned for Victory Field has been called off. You are all still more than welcome to come down to Barton Farm to visit the Tithebarn Workshops, but please don’t bring a boot full of your loft stuff!
There is going to be quite a busy time over the weekends down here, so why not pop the following dates in your diary:
Sunday 27th June – Car Boot Sale Sunday 4th July – Car Boot Sale Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th July – Bradford on Avon Food Festival Sunday 25th July – Car Boot Sale Sunday 1st Aug – Car Boot Sale Sunday 8th Aug – Car Boot Sale
More information about the the upcoming events is available on the Explore BOA website.
To all the people who follow SerenArts Gallery on social media I would like to apologise for any unwanted invites and promotional stuff you may have received today. You will probably be aware that I always use our Blog to communicate via the various platforms, as they are all linked to this. I am ashamed to admit that I went on to our Facebook page and started prodding buttons I had no business touching!!! Promise not to tinker again!
We mentioned a few weeks back that he was on his way… well he’s landed… ‘Wait a Minnow‘ is on his plinth in Westbury Gardens, outside the Tourist Information Centre, to promote two Cotswold walking trails, which Bradford on Avon are now part of. The trails will be available online and via a smartphone App.
There will be some more smaller kingfishers coming to the Shambles this week as well, so hopefully it will all bring a little cheer and some visitors to the Town.
As a little nod to these events Serena has painted a small 6″ square acrylic on canvas: ‘Watching’…
I promise that when things quieten down on the football front I will get back to letting you know what’s going on at SerenArts Gallery and the Tithebarn Workshops.
At SerenArts Gallery we’re always looking for new ways to add items to our range of products and services… and canal art is just the latest string to Serena’s bow…
However, always expect the unexpected, as she hasn’t gone for the traditional canal art colour palette with these pitchers. The subtle pastel tones of these beautiful designs, hand painted by Serena, will compliment many a house interior. They are priced at just £18 for the smaller pitcher (approx 17cm high) and £25 for the larger one(approx 22cm high).
We have plans to increase the range of products that Serena will be adding to the canal art collection, so watch this space!
It’s great to see the magnificent Tithe Barn open its doors to the public again after all this time… and plenty of room in there for social distancing!
If you’re heading down to the Barton Farm area for a paddle along the river or a picnic in the park, why not pop in and visit the Tithebarn Workshops. Unique shops set in beautiful gardens, offering a range of arts, crafts and gifts.
