Apologies

Sorry we haven’t posted in some time but since the snow came things have been a touch ‘slow’ to say the least!

Add to the above that Serena has only just got home after her 3rd hip replacement (yes 3 after one decided to disintegrate after just 5 years!) and you can maybe see why posting has been a fairly low priority. I promise we’ll make more of an effort now!

Winter Wonderland

Well… it’s not great for business, but at least it’s better than rain and floods… much prettier!

Snowman!

I’m sure we can post some more photos taken by Serena at some point, but took this one of Sam on the way down to the gallery this morning… Yes we are open!

Misty Morning

What a beautiful morning!…

Misty morning on the River Avon at Bradford on Avon

Mist on the Avon

As part of my New Years fitness regime I have decided to have a morning walk along the Avon (at least until the river warms up a bit and I can get back in the canoe!).  This morning the sun was shining, the mist was just rising off the water and the river had dropped enough so that the colour of the water was less scummy!  Absolutely beautiful… we really are lucky to work in such a stunning area.

Why don’t you come and have a look for yourselves?!

Glass Art

Just a very quick post to show you a piece that Serena has done on a glass vase.  We haven’t done scenes on vases for quite a while, but they really are effective…

Happy Anniversary

We cannot quite believe that it has been 4 years today that we opened up our gallery at the Tithebarn Workshops.

We thought we would have a celebratory New Year Sale to try and kick start 2013!

So come on down and see us and pick up a bargain!

big new year sale

Surprising…

I have to admit I was a little surprised to see this scene when I turned into our road to the gallery this morning…

Burnt out car on Pound Lane

Oops!

Now I know local residents have been a little miffed at the boy racers whizzing around, but this….?!  A little drastic perhaps!

Happy New Year

A very Happy New Year to everyone. Despite the glorious weather on New Years Day, we made an executive decision and had the day off…. sorry, the day taking photographs to put in the gallery! We’ll be posting some of the real ones that Serena has taken, but here is just a quick panorama taken on my iPhone of the view from Tory across Bradford on Avon….

Tory View

Here’s to a prosperous and very happy 2013.

By the way, if there is anyone out there looking for someone who can print panoramic images from mobile devices, then look no further… just contact us for more information.

Here We Go Again…

Well… would you believe it?… the Flood Warnings are out from the Environment Agency and we’re in the firing line again!  However, this time, we have a secret weapon… New Flood Defences…

New flood defences

New Flood Defences?!

Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m all in favour of anything that helps to stop the awful mess we had in our lovely garden here last time the River Avon came up, but ‘logs’… really!?  We’ve all got a terrible feeling that if the river comes up as much as last time, those little beauties are going to come straight through our back wall!

And bless little Tui, she’s doing her bit to build the next stage of the barrage in the garden!…

Tui and her log

I’ve done my bit!

Looks like Christmas Day could be everyone down to the galleries for flood watch… what fun!
