Barton Bridge Pillbox

Over the coming weeks you will notice some work being done on the Pillbox next to Barton Bridge, just across from the Bradford Rowing Club.

As part of the Preservation Trust’s work in Bradford on Avon, they are clearing the area around the pillbox and creating a path and information lectern to promote this well known local site.  We at SerenArts Gallery have been commissioned by the Trust to do the artwork for the lectern, which will be completed and installed soon.

It’s always nice to see areas around the Tithebarn Workshops being regenerated bringing in extra visitors and hopefully, with the new Dunkirk film out now, there will be additional interest in this historic building.

Bespoke Calendar Printing

We are very pleased to be able to help out local artists and businesses with their printing requirements and although it’s only August we have just produced our first calendar order for local artist Roger Croome…

Roger paints a range of watercolour scenes inspired by the work of Edward Wesson amongst other artists and we create his calendars, Christmas cards and stationary each year.

Glass Art Table Lamps

The lamps have landed!…

Serena has just finished the first collection of glass art table lamps and they are available at SerenArts Gallery at just £25 each.  These beautiful lamps are all hand painted and proved incredibly popular when we last did them a few years back.  We have had trouble getting the blanks in since then, so are very pleased to be able to offer them once more.

Serena is able to take commissions for special occasions and colour schemes so why not pop down to see the current range soon.

We are also putting the finishing touches to the refurbishment of the gallery and will be posting a few more pictures over the next couple of days…

This is the latest window to be completed promoting Serena’s glass art work.

We look forward to seeing everyone soon and happy summer holidays to all those breaking up today!

Refurb!

Coo… what a palaver!

Well haven’t we had fun and shenanigans since Sunday evening?  We had one of those big ideas to revamp the gallery and here we are… it’s Wednesday and still the floor isn’t dry!  Still, it’s nothing that a few well placed rugs hasn’t resolved.

It’s been a couple of days of hard graft, but we now have a completely new collection of photographic art adorning the walls, beautiful new window displays (please don’t ask about the origami birds though!) and a lovely bright new floor.

You might also notice from the photos above that we will shortly be offering our unique range of glass art lamps again.  We’re very excited about these as it’s been a few years since we’ve been able to get the blank lamps.

We hope to see everyone down here at the Tithebarn Workshops soon.

Glass Art Vases

Serena has been incredibly busy with the glass paints in her studio and has produced a fantastic collection of glass art vases which are now available at SerenArts Gallery, Tithebarn Workshops.

These lovely pieces are very reasonably priced and all completely unique, so why not pop down and pick one up soon.

Latest Photographic Artwork

My apologies if you have already seen Serena’s latest photographic artwork on her Facebook, but I thought we should share it on our Blog too!

It is now available and on display at our Gallery down at the Tithebarn Workshops.  In addition we have greetings cards made up featuring this striking image which are also on sale.

Serena’s work gives a alternative look at the buildings and the Townscape of Bradford on Avon and looks stunning on the canvas prints that adorn the walls of our Gallery.

We look forward to seeing you down here soon!

Large Brood

serenarts-gallery duck food

On my morning walk along the Canal towpath I came across this lovely family scene!  We’d like to think that this impressive brood is a direct result of them eating our new SerenArts Gallery duck food rather than the tonnes of processed bread they’re used to… but probably not!  Either way… it was nice to see.

Just to let you know that we are going to be back to our normal working hours this coming week, after our mammoth Easter break opening!  So open every day except Monday – from 10am to 5pm.

Tudor Cards & Gifts

We are currently working on a new website and business stationary for the new owner of Tudor Cards and Gifts, Anthony Turner…

Anthony has recently purchased the newsagent and card shop in The Shambles and we’re sure he will make a real success of the business.

For more information about our services please contact us at any time.

Tides & Toes Card Range

A beautiful range of greeting cards taken from original watercolour drawings by Serena Pugh and available from our Gallery at the Tithebarn Workshops.

The Tides & Toes Card Range depicts beach scenes of children enjoying the delights of the beach and might well bring back happy memories of childhood.

The cards are all printed by SerenArts Design & Printing Services.  If you have some artwork or photography you would like turned into greeting cards, we would be happy to help.  We specialise in short run printing jobs, so you won’t need to buy a box full of each of your works!  Please contact us at any time for more information and a quote.

Healthy Duck & Swan Food

Here at the Tithebarn Workshops, we regularly get asked if we have any bread for the ducks that congregate around the Packhorse Bridge in Barton Farm.  Rather than the tearooms for spare bread rolls, we decided to get in a supply of a complete duck and swan food which is now available from our gallery at just £1 a bag…

healthy-duck-food-from-serenarts-gallery

It is widely thought that the feeding of bread to ducks can be harmful to the birds themselves, as well as contributing to other problems to the river ways.

So… no more bread!… pop into SerenArts Gallery and get some proper duck tucker!
