This is a sight you want to see in the morning… a nice downwards arrow! Hopefully March is going to be a slightly less damp month.
We took this picture this morning at Barton Bridge, round the back of the Workshops…
And this one was taken in August 2016…
The highs and lows of the Avon!
If you’re wanting to pop down to SerenArts Gallery today, we would suggest coming down Pound Lane rather than using Barton Bridge or the River Walk… we are here and open though!
Just to let all our customers know that we are open at the Tithebarn Workshops after the very near floods. It was a very close thing for us… everything got moved up but despite the water kissing the back wall, it didn’t come in.
Our thoughts are with all those less fortunate businesses and homes that didn’t have our luck and a shout out to the amazing emergency services and flood wardens working long into the night over the weekend to help all those affected… Lets hopes that’s it for this year.
We found the website riverlevels.uk a great help with monitoring things and would recommend it to those in problem areas… our panic level turns out to be 2.75m, which is where it peaked and just missed us.
We will shortly be getting in all our new Spring stock at SerenArts Gallery…
Coming next week… a new range of our very popular magnetic scarves, together with a brand new collection of magnetic scarf clips and brooches. Easy to use and very stylish.
We will also have a stunning new line of scarves and jewellery ready for the coming season.
At SerenArts Gallery we are always looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint and be more mindful of the impact our business has on the environment. To that end, we are moving over to more ethically sourced printer paper to use in our photocopying and printing services.
Every sheet of Woodland Trust Office Paper sold contributes directly to their work as the UK’s leading conservation charity. The amount of CO2 generated from the production, storage and distribution of this paper has been calculated and captured by planting trees with the Trust’s Woodland Carbon Scheme.
We have also invested in the latest printer / copier which is made with more than 90% recyclable parts and uses the latest polymerised toners which generate 40% less CO2 than traditional toners.
We will continue to look for new ways to help our business have less impact on the planet and should you have any questions about our services please contact us at any time.
We would like to say a big thank you to our lovely customers that turned up for yesterday evenings late night shopping event at the Tithebarn Workshops…
The fire was lit, the mulled wine flowed and the mince pies and nibbles all laid out ready… a great time was had by all at our Midweek Merriment!
Also a special thank you to Steve Wright for the shout out on his Big Show!
Following on from our previous late night Wednesday shopping events of the last few weeks we are going bigger!
Tonight, at the Tithebarn Workshops, we will be open until 8pm… offering mulled wine, mince pies and music while you browse for those ideal Christmas gifts…
Come on down this evening and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
