We are very excited and working feverishly towards the Bath & West in just 2 weeks! Serena and Steve have been painting up a storm and most of their work is now at the framers… nothing like cutting it fine!
The promotional stationary and posters have been printed and are ready and we can’t wait to get going…
We will be setting up in the Exmoor Hall at the show ground in Shepton Mallet on the Wednesday and then open from 9am to 6pm on the Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th June.
We’re all looking forward to a busy jubilee long weekend.
Well it was all happening down at Barton Farm this morning…
An early start to wake up Jack and then everyone headed off down into town for more fun and festivities at the Green Man Festival. Why not pop in and visit Jackie and Karen’s stall in Westbury Gardens? There will be more going on around the Tithebarn Workshops this afternoon with dancing and music.
Why not pop down for a browse around the workshops and enjoy some of the wonderful artwork created for this weeks festivities…
Above are the various artists taking part this week, offering a diverse selection of work across a broad range of media. Just look out for the bright door signs and enjoy the artwork…
What a beautiful morning down at the Tithebarn Workshops on this Easter Sunday. We’re all ready and set up at SerenArts Gallery. The bunting, the chairs and table, the stock and even the cherry blossom are all out…
There’s plenty to do and see around Barton Farm Country Park. Take a paddle in the river, feed the ducks, a nice stroll along the canal and maybe check out the exhibition in the West Barn today and tomorrow.
Then relax in our peaceful garden and enjoy a little bit of retail therapy!
We had a cracking night out yesterday as guests of the President of Larkhall Athletic FC, Steve Hall, to watch their midweek game against relegation threatened Mangotsfield United. The only negative was the result with the Larks going down 0-2 to the Mangos. It was a valiant effort by a depleted Larkhall team that was reduced to 10 men after a harsh refereeing decision. However, the welcome and hospitality shown by the club was amazing and we had a thoroughly good evening at what has to be the most picturesque football ground I have ever been to.
As match sponsors our advert was in the program, along with a really nice welcome message: “Joining Steve will be Mike Pugh and his wife Serena from SerenArts. SerenArts also sponsor Larkhall, having both a pitch side advertising board and a match day programme advert. Mike and Serena run SerenArts Gallery and gift shop next to the Tithe Barn in Bradford on Avon. In addition, Mike also offers design, printing and computer services”.
If you look very closely you can see our hoarding on the far side of this goal mouth action.
Good luck to the Larks for the remainder of the season and thank you again for a great evening.
We have just been told that the brochures for this years Cloth Road Arts Week have now been printed and are ready to be picked up tomorrow. We will have them available at SerenArts Gallery from Thursday.
We’ve also been personalising the promotional posters for down here at the Tithebarn Workshops…
We are all looking forward to welcoming lots of people to this beautiful corner of Bradford on Avon.
Not much chance of spotting the kingfishers that regularly visit the Barton Bridge area this morning…
Some much needed tree chopping over at the Rowing Club has meant frequent trips through the ford and over the bridge for this tractor and trailer. It always looks a bit odd seeing vehicles on Barton Bridge!
Plans are now moving on quite quickly with this years Royal Bath & West Show. Serena will be exhibiting at the show with local artist and friend Steve Hall. We originally met Steve at the Bath & West back in 2010 and have been friends ever since. There is a lovely symmetry about returning to the place where things all started.
We have had confirmation that we are going to be in Exmoor Hall in the Gifts and Lifestyle section of the show. More information will follow as and when we get it, but we are very excited about attending this prestigious event again after all these years.
A Serene View of poetry features a collection of original paintings in a range of different media by local artist Serena, along with a selection of her complementary poems and haiku.
You can pick up a copy at the gallery or order online from this website.
